She’s been invited — will she come? If she’s not there, a panel of policy experts will help answer questions about how past and potential future votes will affect Mainers.

Join us to canvass door to door and talk to residents in our community about Medicare for All! We’ll talk to residents about Medicare for All, ask for their support, and ask them to call their Representative.

Racial Equity Working Group Foundational Training in historical and institutional racism workshop with Racial Equity Institute.

Indivisible MDI is pleased to help bring this important training workshop back to MDI. Resisting racism is part of our core mission. This two day workshop helps explore and educate about how “racism shapes the functioning and outcomes of all institutions in America.”  More information about the training, MDI REWG and REI can be found here. #ResistTrumpTuesdays:  Weekly group visit to our Member of Congress offices in Bangor.  Meet at the Town Hill VIS at 9:30 am to carpool.  (The VIS is the fire station at the intersection of the Crooked Road and Rt. 102.)

Indivisible MDI Group meetings are usually 6:30 pm on the second Wednesday of every month, at the YWCA MDI in Bar Harbor.  Our next meeting is on Wednesday, May 8, at 6:30 pm at the YWCA, 36 Mt. Desert Street, Bar Harbor. A children’s area is available.

Postcard-writing at the Jesup Library, Bar Harbor. A mail box and supplies are on a table in the rotunda: complete a postcard about something you want our Members of Congress to hear, and put the postcard back into the box. We will mail it for you.

On Monday, 9/10/2018, we joined with other Indivisible groups in Maine to sponsor ads in the Bangor Daily News and the Portland Press Herald opposing the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Our April meeting featured a presentation by Chris Cayer of about Ranked Choice Voting. It is important for everyone to understand that the June 12 election will be using ranked choice voting for primaries AND will include a statewide ballot question about continuing Ranked Choice Voting in the future.
